3 chapters

3 chapters in and I'm hooked.

If you need a book to read this summer, start with Ender's Game and then jump over to Ender's Shadow. I don't see how you would ever be disappointed, especially if you like space ships and children and a well told story.

On a completely different note....
I really liked the movie Revolutionary Road. It's not happy. It's not a comedy. It's dark and twisted and sad. But told so very well. A movie doesn't have to be fun and happy to be enjoyable, in my opinion.
Tonight, I was once again berated and belittled because I liked this movie (my friends all HATED it). Sorry, friends, I like my stories with a twinge of sadness. I like to cry and feel something. A great big NO THANKS to sappy, silliness for me. I'd rather claw my eyes out than watch The Notebook. The horror!

But we can still be friends, right?!

You know what? I like a sad movie too as long as it is ridden with deep, complex characters, which Rev. Rd. was. However, I did not like it. I thought it was dark for darkness' sake.
But I also, would rather lick a hot iron than to watch the Notebook and the like.
I recently watched Precious (based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire)
;0), Monster's Ball, and The Hurt Locker in a matter of 2 weeks. I think, perhaps, I should spread the Sadness out a bit more though. That is why Bride Wars and perhaps a good Veggie Tales Film await in my mailbox.

I am your friend.

I will never stop loving you.

I will always support you.

(except for when you say you love something that includes a self inflicted abortion)

that i cannot support.

but i still love you.

G- beware...Bride Wars is so stupid. Someone forgot to write a storyline. But thanks for your sad movie support. We can watch cry-fest movies together anytime.

J - I figure if you will go see Iron Man 2 with me for my B-day, than our friendship is sealed forever. That's love. Capital L-O-V-E.
