water lilies

I got lost in my thoughts for a long time at this spot in the MoMA. Monet's Water Lilies series took me by complete surprise. A wonderful, beautiful surprise. This one was my favorite. I'll share my other favorite tomorrow.

I was shocked how big they were. And how beautiful the colors were. Those colors were just inspiring in every sense of the word.

I wish we could all go and sit in that room and just stare for a good hour. We could talk about what we see or don't see and how it makes us feel. Even now, I just feel peace and tranquility and hear water calmly gurgling down a stream. Sigh.....
